Linaker Headteacher, Mark Cunniffe, and the run club.
A primary school in Southport that was recently crowned School of the Year at the Grand Pride of Sefton Awards has established a thriving Family Running Club bringing children, staff and parents together every week.
Linaker Primary School's Family Running Club has been going from strength to strength, with growing numbers turning out each session to run alongside 1 another in the school grounds.
The latest session saw children, teachers and family members taking part together, with the sunshine adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
Headteacher Mark Cunniffe, said:- "It was lovely to see so many children, staff and families running together this afternoon. This is exactly what our school community is about; everyone coming together, staying active and having fun. The sun even decided to show up for us."
The running club is one of a number of community-focused initiatives at the school, which was recently recognised at the Grand Pride of Sefton Awards, where it took the top honour of School of the Year.
The award reflects the school's commitment to wellbeing, family engagement and a culture where, as the school puts it, 1 team means everyone belongs.
